For all of our moves, our crews are headed up by a Crew Leader to ensure that everything with your move is stress-free. Our Crew Leaders are well-experienced movers that have put in many hours of hard work with Lausch’s Moving Company. They are willing to help you with any questions or concerns you may have on the day of your move! We also have Executive Crew Leaders that make the rounds to move sites to check in and maintain quality service!
Charges for all local moves are incurred by the hour – including travel time – upon completion of the move. We currently accept cash, checks, and credit cards (3% processing fee added on to all credit card payments).
Interstate and long-distance moves are charged by weight instead of time. Interstate moves require a deposit prior to the move and the remaining amount at the end of the move.
If you have hired Lausch’s Moving Company to pack your home as well as move you, please note that packing of your items will occur the day before your move.
Free estimates are performed to determine a rough approximation of the potential charges (actual charges may vary due to unforeseen circumstances or changes made by the customer).
You are required to read and sign an “Information for Shippers” document. This document contains important information regarding coverage, payment responsibilities, damage, etc.
You are required to read and sign an “Increased Valuation Protection” document. This document allows you to elect or decline additional coverage for your items during the move. Please do not hesitate to ask our experienced moving consultants if you have any questions regarding this!
You, the customer/shipper, or your designated representative MUST be present at the time of packing (if applicable), loading and delivery.
You must be prepared for the arrival of the movers. All items must be properly packed and ready to go. The movers will not take loose items (for example; shoes, knick knacks, etc.)
Keep all valuable items in your possession. The movers will not be responsible for moving items such as; documents, currency, money, jewelry, precious stones or any articles of extraordinary value.
By law, movers are not permitted to transport alcohol, flammable, combustible or toxic chemicals. Make arrangements to transport items such as wine/liquor, oils, paints, aerosol cans, etc. personally.
Should you decide to pack your own items, please be aware that any damage due to improper packing by the customer will not be covered. If there is visible damage to the outside of the carton upon delivery this will be noted on the inventory or bill of lading for insurance purposes.
Defrost and dry your refrigerator/freezer at least one day prior to move.
You are personally responsible for thoroughly inspecting the “move-out” location before the movers leave to be certain that everything you desire has been packed and loaded. Missed items are not the responsibility of the movers.
At the time of delivery, you must pay close attention to your items. Any and all damage MUST be listed on the bill of lading at the time of delivery.
